NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG Annual Public Meeting

We are pleased to invite you to our virtual Annual Public Meeting (APM) on Tuesday 29 September 2020 at 5.30pm.

The APM gives members of the public and our partners an opportunity to          hear about the work we have undertaken over the previous year and our          plans for the next 12 months. It also gives everyone the opportunity to       questions of the CCG’s executive leadership team.

In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have taken the decision to hold this       year’s APM virtually.

You can register for the meeting, which will run from 5.30 – 7.00 pm, here:

During the meeting, the public will hear from the CCG’s executive team, receive a finance update, learn about the next 12 months and hear about    the achievements and challenges from the previous year.

As per previous years, we are holding a question and answers session.       You can submit your questions in advance by emailing or alternatively you will         be able to submit questions live during the APM.

If you are unable to make it on the day, a recording of the APM will be     made available on the CCG’s YouTube page for you to view at your convenience.

Better Health

Public Health England has launched a major new adult health campaign to seize the opportunity for a national reset moment.

COVID-19 has affected the whole country; for almost everyone, life has had to fundamentally change. But it has also prompted many people to reflect and think more seriously about their health.

Nearly two thirds (63%) of adults in the UK are overweight or living with obesity. Gaining weight is often a gradual process that takes place over a number of years and modern life doesn’t always make it easy. This extra weight causes pressure to build up around vital organs, making it harder for the body to fight against diseases like cancer, heart disease and now COVID-19. By reducing your weight within a healthy range, you can help cut your risk of being critically ill with COVID-19.
